Murmur privacy policy

Murmur does not collect, store or share personal data. It has no account, no analytics and no advertising.

• Audio and transcripts stay on your Mac. Murmur records your microphone and, if you choose Mic + System, the sound your Mac plays. It transcribes on-device and saves the text in the app’s own folder. Nothing is uploaded.
• The speech model is downloaded once from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). The request carries no personal data beyond what any web request carries, such as your IP address.
• Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Murmur never sees your payment details.
• Deleting your data: delete a transcript in History, or delete the app.
• This website has no analytics or cookies. It saves your light or dark theme choice in your browser only if you press the theme button.
• Email: if you write to support, I receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply.
